The Rise of the Blog

Short for “weblog,” a blog is a type of online diary. Would-be bloggers can launch a blog through a variety of host websites.

The easy infrastructure of the blog, similar to writing in a journal, allows bloggers to regularly post new entries and lets visitors comment. With audio, video, and links to relevant content on the Web, blogs have become a popular alternative to traditional news outlets as a source of information.

Create your own blog by following our step-by-step guide.
